Steady and True
There was a time when the energy, the emotions, the desire to prove something to others as much as to oneself — all these things held grip over me.
And yet, as time passed, and one’s mind gained a calmness I saw a newfound balance I understand well and only few I choose to be around me understand, that the mind, the body, the calmness, the control, and having centering on oneself, yet the ears and eyes for others, is the practising of true inner strength. To never get too high, to never fall too low, to be even keel and tried, tested, and true. To be unapologetic, to be respectful, to listen, to see, to speak slow, and to bring up others. That is the mark of a true champion, and that is the mark of who I am.
